The Global Leaders [TGL™] invites you to hear Alissa Torres, author of American Widow, speak at a special networking event to be held at The Yale Club in New York City on Tuesday, October 5th from 7p to 9p.
What leadership lessons do we learn from adversity?
How can we leverage our leadership skills to survive a personal crisis?
Alissa knows firsthand. She is the widow of Luis Eduardo Torres, who died at age 31 on the 2nd day of his new job. His employer was Cantor Fitzgerald….. his office was located in The World Trade center…..his record of employment no longer existed….he no longer existed.
Seven months pregnant with her first child, Alissa had to draw upon her inner strength and utilize her leadership skills to navigate through this difficult time. Come join us at this special TGL event as Alissa shares her experiences and the lessons she learned along the way.
The reception at The Yale Club is part of The Global Leaders special package for the 2010 World Business Forum of which it is a sponsor. The TGL offer includes Premium Seating at the forum, a private “members only” luncheon with Joseph Grenny, leading expert on strategy and author of Influencer: The Power to Change Anything, plus the event with Alissa Torres. Further information about this event can be found at www.tgleaders.com/world-business-forum, or by emailing Jayme Porkolab or calling her at (914)-519-8071.
